Baby Shampoo Trick!

My gorgeous cousin taught me the best cheap little trick ever!

Wash your makeup brushes with Baby Shampoo.. it will leave your brushes soft and clean and smelling delicious! It is cheaper and easier than using a brush cleaner from MAC or anywhere else.  Just pour a little in your hand and then gently clean the brush and rinse off with water.
Remember to clean your brushes often to avoid spreading bacteria and to help make your brushes last longer!

Hope it helps!

Sevin Nyne Tanner

FINALLY! all my tanning prayers have been answered.

I am a big fan of being tanned but refuse to damage my skin and HATE being white or orange.. I have tested and tried every fake tan on the market and finally I think I have found my fav!

Its called SEVIN NYNE.. and don't let this put you off, but it's lindsay lohan's new brand. (yuck!)
However this spray tan is amazing.. it leaves no streaks whatsoever and smells good.. no joke! like coconuts and tropical flowers its heaven! the colour is gorgeous.. and its only $35.
(I am not sure if it is available in Australia yet, but if you know anyone going to USA soon its available at all SEPHORA stores) I stocked up :) AND I SWEAR.. it smells like coconut!

remember to exfoliate your skin first and then spray, let it dry ( this one dries very fast ) and then off you go! to make it last longer, moisturize daily :)

 Key Ingredients:
Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) – Self Tanning agent
Ordenone – Reduces unpleasant developing odor of DHA
Caramel – Provides instant natural color without harsh dyes
 Goji Berry Extract – Antioxidant
Chardonnay extracts to keep skin hydrated

“Sevin Nyne Tanning Mist provides a gorgeous, streak-free glow while nourishing skin with a powerful anti-oxident goji berry moisturizing chardonnay extracts. Red carpet-worthy radiance is finally possible without the damaging effects of the sun.“

Youngblood Mineral Makeup

so.. I have been using mac and laura mercier liquid foundations my whole life.

recently after a visit to my dermatologist ( as I have had on going skin problems for years )
she explained to me the benefits of mineral makeup and how it can help my problem skin..
if you get bumps and lumps from clogged pores, mineral makeup could be the right option for you!

so I have spent days researching the brands, the ingredients and the differences between mineral makeup brands - it is so overwhelming!! I tried every brand out there and here is my list! I was so excited to see that I did not have to compromise glowing dewy skin
- mineral makeup gives beautiful coverage and actually left my skin feeling pretty amazing!

My top 3 brands are:
Bare I.d  (obvious choice)- they are the most cost effective and easy to use I think
Young Blood (make the most phenomenal bronzers and blushes, but it is very expensive in Aus)
Elizabeth Arden mineral foundation (gorgeous brush and clever compact)

Hope this helps all you mineral makeup lovers out there!!

I am currently chucking out my other mac, nars and bobbi brown non-mineral makeup and going down the mineral road in hope that it helps my skin!! ( as well as loving the anti-aging and sun protection properties)

The Magic of Olive Oil

LADIES.. and gents

Todays little trick is cheap and easy!

for luscious locks - grab a bottle of extra virgin cold pressed OLIVE OIL and pour it all over your hair, put a shower cap on and leave it on for as long as you like... for extra shine blow dry the hair with the cap on..
then shower and shampoo (very well) and condition and your hair will look shiny, healthy and feel like heaven!

I also use OLIVE OIL as a makeup remover.
It brakes down the makeup and is gentle on my eyes and skin.. better than using any of those expensive removers filled with chemicals and uglies. It works wonders and will not age your skin as it is so gentle.

Hope this helps!
